Jewelry Appraisal Booking — Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment for a jewelry appraisal? +

Walk-ins are welcome for many verbal value checks, but for detailed written insurance or estate appraisals, we recommend booking an appointment so our Graduate Gemologist can reserve dedicated time for you and your pieces.

How long will my appointment take? +

Most appraisal appointments run between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the number and complexity of your items. Some written reports may be completed after your visit if additional research or documentation is required.

Will my jewelry need to stay with you? +

Many verbal evaluations and simple appraisals can be completed while you are in the showroom. Larger collections or estate work may need to stay briefly so we can document and photograph each piece thoroughly. We will review timing and security with you before any items remain in our care.

How much does a jewelry appraisal cost? +

Pricing depends on the number of pieces and the type of appraisal requested. Verbal appraisals are often complimentary, while written insurance or estate appraisals are billed per item or per session. We will review pricing with you before any work begins.

What should I bring to my appraisal appointment? +

Please bring the jewelry you would like appraised along with any existing paperwork, such as previous appraisals, receipts or certificates. This information can help us provide the most accurate and efficient evaluation.
